I wanted to send you all a quick, friendly reminder of tomorrow afternoon's Shaker Regional School District Parade! Our venture through the parade route, which I sent you details of last Friday, begins at 1pm!
It is clear that our district's professionals are thrilled to have this opportunity for some quick, passing-by face time with our students and community; the response I've received indicates that we'll be getting a BIG turnout of BHS faculty and staff, travelling in their own vehicles to a neighborhood near you!
I also wanted to take this as an opportunity to express that next week, May 4th to May 8th, is National Teacher Appreciation Week! While we'd have normally arranged for some gestures of our thanks throughout the week in the high school, tomorrow is also an opportunity to express your thoughts to them and the absolutely HEROIC efforts that they have demonstrated throughout this transition to remote learning. I've said it before, but it cannot be said enough: I am tremendously proud of our teachers' and support staff's efforts and their tireless dedication to the young people of Canterbury and Belmont. I would expect that even the briefest of opportunities to see you, if you're able to take the time to be seen, would mean the world to them too!
