Hello Families and Staff,
I hope you enjoyed the beautiful weekend. It is hard to believe that we are going into the final week of school for students. Below are a few updates for the upcoming week and summer months.
Important Dates for End of Year Events:
BES - 4th graders - June 3rd - drive through ceremony at BES from 6 - 8 pm (Rain date June 5th)
CES- 5th graders - June 5th - drive through ceremony at Canterbury Center at 6 pm.
BMS - 8th Promotion - June 4th- virtual ceremony and drive through at BMS from 5:30-7:30 pm
BHS- Seniors - Graduation - June 13th at BHS. Plans are being finalized at this time.
Chromebook/Instructional Materials Drop-off:
We will have a drive through process on June 10th and 11th to drop-off Chromebooks and all school owned instructional materials, including library books. You will also be able to pick-up any materials your student left at the school prior to school closure. The Chromebook drop-off is for grades K-6 and 12 only. Grades 7-11 can hold on to their chromebooks over the summer.
We are running the following drop-off schedule for BES, BMS, and BHS by the first letter of the student's last name:
BES, BMS, BHS:
June 10
A-G 8:00 - 9:30 am
H-N 9:30 - 11:00 am
O-U 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
V-Z 12:30 - 2:00 pm
June 11
V-Z 8:00 - 9:30 am
O-U 9:30 - 11:00 am
H-N 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
A-G 12:30 am - 2:00 pm
CES:
June 10th and 11th: 8 am - 2 pm for all students
Summer Programming:
Our summer programming will include Extended School Year (ESY) for BES, CES, BMS, and BHS students, Title 1 for BES students, Standards Recovery for BMS students, and Credit Recovery for BHS students. ESY and Title I will run from July 6th through July 24th. BMS Standards Recovery and BHS Credit Recovery will run for two sessions. The first session will run from June 15th through June 26th. The second session will run from July 6th through July 17th. BES Title I, BMS Standards Recovery and BHS Credit Recovery programs will be offered remotely. ESY will be remote as well unless it is determined that a specific support service is best provided in a school environment.
In summary:
ESY and Title I - July 6th - July 24th
BMS Standards Recovery and BHS Credit Recovery - June 15th - June 26th and July 6th - July 17th.
Food:
We are pleased to offer our meal pick-up/delivery program beyond the end of the school year. At this time we plan on continuing with our current schedule until June 30th. We continue to research ways to provide meals throughout the entire summer.
