Facebook Contest
Please take two minutes and vote for Belmont High School to win the art grant
that Meredith Village Savings Bank is currently offering. The prize of $3,000 for
our art program at the high school would be fantastic! Please vote, and also ask
your thousands of friends to vote for us as well.
We have been running neck and neck with Gilford High School. Please get those
votes for BHS in!

FBLA
We need several students who can bring in dollies on Friday, November 7th to help vendors move in and
out.
Upcoming FBLA Meetings (all at 2:20pm in Mr. Hill's room):

- Thursday, 11/6 - Holiday Fair Set up until 6pm
- Friday, 11/7 - Holiday Fair Set up until 7:30pm
- Saturday, 11/8 - Holiday Fair - 7am - 6pm
For all students ... FBLA will continue to collect can tabs all year for David's House. You can drop them off
in Rm 211 or pass into the main office. Thank you for your support!
Wellness Committee
The SRSD Wellness Committee is in need of 1-2 students who are willing to be part of the
district Wellness group. The meetings will be held once a month at 3:30 in the SAU
conference room. If you are interested in joining please see Ms. Lavallee.
Senior Pictures
The deadline to submit senior pictures is fast approaching. Submit a disc or flash drive to Caitlyn Keville or
Mrs. Hamilton BY OCTOBER 31st. Any photos turned in after this date will be charged a late fee.
Yearbook Sale
Order forms are available through Mrs. Hamilton in Room 206 or click here to order your yearbook online.
Guidance
Seeking 2 or 3 mature student volunteers who have their own transportation to volunteer helping set up for a
Veteran's Day event at the VFW in Laconia on Thursday, November 6th from 12:30-3:30pm. Great way to
build your resume and get volunteer hours! See Mrs. O'
Connell in the guidance office if you are interested. I need a definite commitment by Wednesday, October
29th.
The University of Rhode Island will be doing a guidance visit on Wednesday, October 29th at 11:30am.
Juniors and seniors who are interested in hearing about URI should sign up in the guidance office.
Seniors, scholarship opportunities are beginning to start arriving in the guidance office
PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CHECK THE "WHAT'S NEW" SECTION OF THE
GUIDANCE WEBSITE REGULARLY TO STAY INFORMED OF ALL THAT'S HAPPENING!
Northeastern University will be holding their annual "Women in Engineering" day on Friday, October 31st,
from 9-3. This program is designed for female students who are interested in learning more about their
outstanding engineering program and meet some of their students. To reserve a place you must RSVP
by October 20th by emailing r.reisberg@neu.edu, there is a 5 student limit per school.

Where: UNH in Manchester
When: Friday, November 7tttth from 9:00am – 2:00pm.
Details:
· The fee is $10 per student (scholarships are available)
· Breakfast and Lunch will be included
· Sessions include: Planning for College, STEM College Courses and Careers in STEM

Drivers Ed
Parent night is Monday October 27th. Mrs. LaPlante will be here by 5:30pm for students
attending National English Honor Society.
Notice
Our BHS school handbook calendar incorrectly states that there in no school on Friday, November
7th. There will be a full day of school on Friday, November 7th and NO SCHOOL on Monday November
10th and Tuesday November 11tttth. First term grades will close on Friday, November 7th and report grades will
be mailed approximately one week later.
Chess Club

Drama
