Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross-Country Teams as they competed this past Saturday at the D3 State Championships. Talia Sperduto finished 46th followed by Nicole Rosas (101st) and Carol Lipshultz (123rd). The Boys Team equaled their best state meet finish since winning the title in 2009, finishing 15th. Ian Rupp lead the way in 54th, supported by Nikolai Fernandez (82nd), Isaiah Knowlton (83rd), Brennan Malone (119th), Chris Spooner-Bishop (126th), Michael Burbank (138th), and Chris Bartz (159th). Great season all, you represent Belmont well!
National English Honor Society:
Induction for NEHS will be held tonight at 6:00PM in the library.
Facebook Contest

Holiday Fair
Holiday Fair - The 8th Annual BHS Holiday Fair hosted by the Future Business Leaders of America will be held on Saturday, November 8th from 9am to 3pm at the high school. Over 100 crafters and vendors will be on hand, and the day will also include a large raffle and breakfast, lunch, and snack items throughout the day. The BHS PTO will also be hosting a Santa's Village shopping experience for kids, where they can purchase and wrap surprise gifts for parents and friends to open during the holidays. New this year, Santa will be in attendance and available for photos, so bring your cameras. A portion of the proceeds from the fair will be donated to local charities for the holidays. Make plans now to come start your holiday shopping with us! Thank you for your support!
FBLA
We need several students who can bring in dollies on Friday, November 7th to help vendors move in and out.

Wellness Committee
The SRSD Wellness Committee is in need of 1-2 students who are willing to be part of the district Wellness group. The meetings will be held once a month at 3:30 in the SAU conference room. If you are interested in joining please see Ms. Lavallee.
Senior Pictures
The deadline to submit senior pictures is fast approaching. Submit a disc or flash drive to Caitlyn Keville or Mrs. Hamilton BY OCTOBER 31st. Any photos turned in after this date will be charged a late fee.

Guidance
Seeking 2 or 3 mature student volunteers who have their own transportation to volunteer helping set up for a Veteran's Day event at the VFW in Laconia on Thursday, November 6th from 12:30-3:30pm. Great way to build your resume and get volunteer hours! See Mrs. O'Connell in the guidance office if you are interested. I need a definite commitment by Wednesday, October 29th.
The University of Rhode Island will be doing a guidance visit on Wednesday, October 29th at 11:30am. Juniors and seniors who are interested in hearing about URI should sign up in the guidance office.

Northeastern University will be holding their annual "Women in Engineering" day on Friday, October 31st, from 9-3. This program is designed for female students who are interested in learning more about their outstanding engineering program and meet some of their students. To reserve a place you must RSVP by October 20th by emailing r.reisberg@neu.edu, there is a 5 student limit per school.

Notice
Our BHS school handbook calendar incorrectly states that there in no school on Friday, November 7th. There will be a full day of school on Friday, November 7th and NO SCHOOL on Monday November 10th and Tuesday November 11th. First term grades will close on Friday, November 7th and report grades will be mailed approximately one week later.
